About Me: Carson Kane
I hold a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning English as a Foreign/Second Language from Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Spain and a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics from The Ohio State University in the USA. I am also TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified by the international language school Máximo Nivel.
My pedagogical framework is informed by my experience learning and teaching languages. As someone who is passionate about language, I use linguistic principles of second language acquisition to better teach the grammar of English. I draw directly from my own process of achieving C1 fluency in Spanish (Certified by the Cervantes Institute) and a B2 in Catalan, alongside continuing studies in German (B1) and Japanese (A2).
My background extends beyond traditional pedagogy into technical domains. With expertise in local LLMs, PowerPoint, JavaScript, HTML, Python, and video marketing, I use modern technology tools to facilitate learning in corporate language training environments and group classroom settings.
